bop-shot.jpg

Owner built, super efficient, low maintenance, straw bale house, studio apartment rental unit and full hookup, landscaped RV site. All have income producing potential. For more information and price, call 541-742-6499 until March 13, 2012. After that time call 541-742-6499. I'm a professional writer, both my wife and I teach health and fitness and we live and travel in our motor home. Columbus and SW New Mexico are a great place to live with really good people for neighbors. We have had long-term renters since 2008 and haven't been there for two years: it is time to sell.

THE WEATHER HERE IS GREAT.

In Columbus, we had year-round gardens, established trees, and good neighbors.

LOW COST OF LIVING.

The taxes are low and our utility bills are too. We heat with solar collected in our southern solarium and auxiliary wood heat. In the summer the house is cooled with flow through ventilation at night. We had a small evaporative cooler in the office where our computers were, but none in the house or casita (small house in Spanish).
